New Positioning Technologies and Spatial Techniques Forum

About: This full day event will include presentations from the NT’s surveying and spatial profession, and also supporters of our community will provide delegates with insightful information on new positioning technologies and geospatial techniques that affect us today and in to the future.  This information will be delivered through presentations on case studies, projects or applications relating to the theme of this event.

Technical Seminar - Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

About: The Australian Government’s Department of the Environment – Environmental Research Institute of the Supervising Scientist purchased a fixed-wing UAV in April 2015 for environmental monitoring. This seminar will cover the following:
  • The business case for operating a UAS
  • Issues we considered in selecting the type of UAS
  • CASA certification and ongoing requirements
  • Establishing an operational program
  • Challenges we have had to overcome
  • Examples of environmental monitoring work undertaken to date.

Women in Spatial NT Launch

About: Opportunity for women in the NT Spatial and Surveying industry to come together in a relaxed and informal forum to present and discuss ideas. Five minute "flash" presentations will be given by women working in the industry followed by opportunities for networking over drinks and nibbles. More information about the launch of Women in Spatial including the speaking lineup will be made available here.
Please note that this is not a women only event - men are most welcome to attend also.

Conference Dinner and NT Spatial Awards

About:  The NT Spatial 2012 conference dinner will feature the inaugural NT Spatial Excellence Awards. The night will include live pre-dinner entertainment, an open bar all night,  a full sit down meal, a guest speaker and the presentation of the NT Spatial Excellence Awards.
FULL event registration (excluding student registration) includes one (1) ticket to the NT Spatial Excellence Awards night and conference dinner. Additional tickets to the Awards Night/Conference Dinner are available at $100 each.
