Supervising Surveyor of the Office of the Surveyor General, with the NT Government’s Department of Lands Planning and the Environment. Rob holds a Bachelor of Applied Science – Survey and Mapping from Curtin University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management received from the Flinders University. He has been registered as a Licensed Surveyor in the NT since 1991. Rob was an active member of the FIG Commission 5 for 12 years, and the NT delegate on the ICSM – Permanent Committee on Geodesy up to 2015. He is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Surveyors Board of NT for Licensed or Registered surveyors.

Alex is a BSc (Surveying) graduate from RMIT, a Licensed Surveyor in Northern Territory and Victoria and a member of SSSI from the days of the ISA NT division. Alex has 44 years' of experience in the surveying and mapping industry, working on a variety of infrastructure and land development projects across the length and breath of the NT. ALex has also served on the NT Surveyors Board. He has presented at many seminars and enjoys helping at industry events, as well as attending conferences to network. Alex follows the exploits of Hawthorn and Man U.

Amy Peterson graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Geomatics in 2002, and completed a further Honours year in 2003. Amy has worked in the Surveying and Spatial Sciences industry for over ten years, having gained a variety of experience in both the public and private sectors. Amy’s professional work experience extends from working as an Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditioner, to working across Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory in the capacity of field surveyor, GIS and spatial consultant and Projects Manager. Amy Peterson is; Geodetic and Positioning Senior Surveyor with Survey Services in the Land Information Division of the Northern Territory Government’s Department of Lands, Planning and the Environment. Her current role focuses on maintaining and expanding the GNSS CORS network, datum modernisation and other geodetic activities undertaken by the Department. Amy is currently working towards registration as a Licensed Surveyor in the Northern Territory. Amy has lived in the NT for seven years and enjoys the heat, relaxed lifestyle and culture. She is kept super busy caring for, and hanging out with her three small children, and in her spare time (when she should be sleeping!) enjoys sewing, ‘creative arts’, online shopping :) and Pilates.

Earl B.M. James
Earl James was the founding director of Earl James & Associates (EJA), the premier survey consultants in the Northern Territory. He was President of the Institution of Surveyors, Australia (ISA) 1978-79, Vice President of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) during 1988-91 and President of that Federation from 1992 to 1995. He was also the President of the International Union of Surveys and Mapping (IUSM) between 1994 and 1997. He has retired from active business life but retains an active interest in professional affairs.

Anthony O'Flaherty GISP-AP
NT SICC Rep
Anthony has extensive experience in the provision of professional spatial services with a particular interest in GIS as a community engagement tool. He is a proactive GIS Professional with Esri Australia with extensive experience in GIS consulting, training and research. Anthony also has 15 years experience in GIS Education through involvement with schools, Higher Education, Vocational Education & Training and more recently with Esri Training. He is Chair of Milkwood Steiner School located at Berrimah and also a member of the Geography & History Teachers' Association of the Northern Territory.
