A full day of workshops will be held in conjunction with NT Spatial on Wednesday the 21st March and registrations are now being accepted.
A LiDAR workshop titled The Mystery of LiDAR Best Practice will be run at the Environmental Research Institute of the Supervising Scientist (eriss) in Marrara. This workshop will cost $100 for SSSI Members and $150 for Non-members.

Are you interested in joining a group of like-minded women at the NT launch of Women in Spatial on Wednesday, 21 March 2012?
We are offering women in the NT Spatial and Surveying industry the opportunity to come together in a relaxed and informal forum to present and discuss ideas. Five minute "flash" presentations will be given by women working in the industry followed by opportunities for networking over drinks and nibbles.
Please note that this is not a women only event - men are most welcome to attend also.

Nominations are now being accepted for the inaugural NT Spatial Excellence Awards that will be presented at the NT Spatial 2012 conference dinner on the 22nd March at the Darwin Convention Centre.
Awards will be presented in a variety of individual and industry categories. Nominees are not required to be a member of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute to enter and there are no fees for submitting an application.
Nominations close on Friday the 24th February with judging to be completed in mid March. Update - The closing date for nominations has now been extended to Friday the 2nd March.

NT Spatial 2012 is shaping up to be an exciting event with a number of workshops and keynotes speakers confirmed. Abstract submission for oral or poster presentations and papers has been extended for two more weeks.
CALL FOR POSTERS, PRESENTATIONS & PAPERS EXTENDED TO 31st January
Presenters do not need to commit to submitting a full paper. Just submit your abstract of 300 words or less NOW, and then provide a copy of the presentation to us 10 days prior to the event.
